Well, I think the mama bird is feeling right at home. She seems to be starting to trust us a little more and doesn't fly away every time we open the door. I am on a quest to get her picture, but I haven't been successfull thus far. It appears she is done laying the eggs now....there are FIVE! She layed one each day and now she just sits on them. The kids are dying for them to hatch....no clue how long that will be!

Just Call Me The Bird Lady!
Well, I think the mama bird is feeling right at home. She seems to be starting to trust us a little more and doesn't fly away every time we open the door. I am on a quest to get her picture, but I haven't been successfull thus far. It appears she is done laying the eggs now....there are FIVE! She layed one each day and now she just sits on them. The kids are dying for them to hatch....no clue how long that will be!

so...i'll take mine sunny side up. i really like a good omlet as well. JUST KIDDING! that is one egg laying birdy! i love it & can't wait to see the momma...does she have a name yet?
Ummm, yeah, I am getting a little nervous about having FIVE baby birds pooing on my porch! The idea of one or two was cute, now I'm not sure what to think! No official name, we just call her "Mama Bird".
I just found the other day a robins nest in my front tree. There are only 3 eggs in her nest but the mom and dad are very protective. If I walk over to the nest they sit on top of my house and chirp like no other.
So, I just watered my flower and the baby birds have hatched....but they are NOT very cute...really kind of creepy looking....so much so I didn't even want to take their pic!
